Transcript
here at 51黑料不打烊 and I鈥檓 excited to share with you a quick demo of the new advanced BI analytics for Marketo engage. So without further ado, let鈥檚 dive in. I鈥檝e chosen email analysis as the report category and I want to create a new report showing email open and unsubscribe rates. Under data, I鈥檒l just select those two measures and email sent quarter is how I want to see the results and boom, there鈥檚 our report. We鈥檝e greatly improved performance especially with large datasets. Under visualization, we鈥檝e added way more options. You can very quickly check out alternatives, find the one you like best. I like this line chart. We now support integrated multi-page reports. Let鈥檚 create a second page, open and unsubscribe rates again, but now by program channel. Then let鈥檚 create a third page. This time we鈥檙e going to use a tabular format that brings in additional detail. I had in program name, we want email sent month in this table and then we鈥檒l sort by email sent month in descending order to get to the page three of the report that we want. To enable interactivity between pages, we create drill-throughs by just dragging program channel and just drop it under drill-through. Amazing, this is another new capability. Now let鈥檚 see how it works. We鈥檒l go back to page one. I鈥檒l pick a quarter and drill through to page two and there鈥檚 our breakdown of channel for the quarter. We drill through again to page three and we see the table with the details, so powerful. You can also easily add filters. I鈥檓 going to do one for lead source. You just drag that into the filters column and now we can filter by source across all of the three pages. So you鈥檝e gathered some really important insight. Now you absolutely need to share this with coworkers and stakeholders. It鈥檚 easier than ever to share with spreadsheet PDF and now straight to PowerPoint slides with one click. You have what you need to turn insight into action with your three PowerPoint slides. And there you go. With dramatically improved performance, interactivity, and visualization and sharing, the new advanced BI analytics from Arqueto Engage has been a big hit with early customers and we think you鈥檒l love it too. Thanks for watching.

Things to note note

The public beta will run through June 1, 2025, upon which time the classic experience via 鈥淩evenue Explorer鈥 will be permanently deprecated.

During the public beta:

  • You can access, create, update, and delete reports in both experiences.

  • Your custom reports will be replicated from the classic experience to the new experience with the notable behavior changes mentioned in the Learning the New Experience section below.

    note important
    IMPORTANT
Replication of custom reports will be carried out in groups. Once your custom reports are replicated to the new experience, to ensure consistency between the two experiences, any changes made in the classic experience will also need to be manually applied to the corresponding reports in the new experience. An information note on the above will light up in the classic experience upon the replication of your customer reports.
    • Dashboards in the classic experience are not transferable and will require recreation in the new experience. They should be recreated as reports in the new experience and the filters in the new experience automatically pulls possible values rather than requiring you to manually enter all possible values individually in the classic experience.

      note note
      NOTE
The dashboard in the new experience is simply a collection of reports on a single page. The primary value of dashboard in the new experience is to allow you to present analytical insights across different reporting areas.
  • Your email subscriptions in the classic experience will be replicated to the new experience. The email subscriptions in the classic experience will continue functioning until the deprecation of the classic experience on June 1, 2025.

  • Existing Revenue Explorer users automatically have access to the new Advanced BI Analytics (Beta) experience.

Learning the new experience learning-the-new-experience

The new visualization experience is delivered via embedded Power BI service.

For a quick tutorial on the visualization experience, visit Microsoft鈥檚 documentation. Please note that you may not see all of those features in Marketo Engage.

Notable experience changes notable-experience-changes

The following are changes in the new experience (Advanced BI Analytics) from the classic experience (Revenue Explorer/Advanced Report Builder).

  • The date-type filter functions equivalently; however, the syntax for specifying values changed. In your existing custom reports, all date-type filter values鈥攅xcept for 鈥淒ay of the Week鈥濃攁re automatically converted to their corresponding equivalents in the new experience. Support for 鈥淒ay of the Week鈥 values has been discontinued.

  • The string-type filters are now case-sensitive.

  • Runtime formula field in the classic experience is no longer supported.

  • Email subscription includes the PDF export rather than the HTML of the report. The new email subscription will not include the report definition.

  • Deep link of report is not supported at this time.

  • Report folder experience is not available at this time and was temporarily replaced by a flat list with type-ahead search. The name of the replicated report will carry the folder path, e.g., /folder1/folder2/report.

  • PDF export is synchronous in the new experience, compared to being asynchronous in the classic experience.

NOTE
You cannot include more than one Custom Field Group field in a visual for Model Performance Analysis (Leads) reporting area.
