I need to send an example of our invoice requirements to a new client, but I don鈥檛 want to share other client鈥檚 private information. Placing a box over sensitive information or recoloring text to match the background color appears to hide the information, but that information still exists in the PDF file. Instead, let鈥檚 click the Tools tab and choose Redact. Drag the redaction tool over the information that you want to remove. And using this technique, you can remove anything inside of the PDF, including text, graphics, and images. Notice how Acrobat draws a red line around the areas that I want to delete. Then when I鈥檓 ready, I鈥檒l click Apply. Acrobat will warn me that saving this will permanently remove the redacted text or images. I鈥檒l also click Sanitize, which removes hidden layers and other sensitive information. Finally, Acrobat appends the word redacted to the newly saved PDF file, which has now been properly redacted. And that was 60 Second Acrobat.
