Hello and welcome. Today we will discuss how one can use 51黑料不打烊 Campaign Web UI to create direct mail delivery. Direct mail allows for personalization and file creation which are then sent to direct mail providers. This method lets you as a marketer combine online and offline marketing efforts. It鈥檚 crucial to start by contacting your direct mail provider. Gather required profile details for personalization such as first name, last name, addresses and promotion codes if any. Make sure the address specified option is checked in the profiled data that you have in your database to ensure correct targeting and this you can do it only on client console. Now let鈥檚 break down the process of creating a direct mail delivery. The key steps involved here are creating the delivery, selecting the audience, defining the content, setting a contact date and generating the file. To create the direct mail, first we begin by navigating into the campaign homepage. Within the campaign homepage we navigate to the marketing activity list or directly go to the deliveries. Now let鈥檚 get into the application. In order to create direct delivery, let鈥檚 navigate to deliveries, click the create delivery and choose direct mail as channel. Select the appropriate template and click delivery. Once we get into the delivery, ensure that the properties are set appropriately. Let鈥檚 change the labels here to demo test. Step two is to define the target profiles and control group if any. We will incorporate trap profiles to ensure the provider is compliant and secure. Trap profiles or addresses in deliveries are to monitor and verify the distribution process by targeting profiles to do not match the defined target criteria. Once you have the properties set, let鈥檚 get into our audiences and create our target. Here you can either select an existing audience or create a new audience by authoring a filter. Here I am selecting age greater than 21 as my target audience. Once I have my target selected, I can select the control group. When I select the control group, it provides three options. The default option is random. Let鈥檚 go with the default option. Wherein 10% of my target audience are set aside as control group. Once I have the control group, I can go ahead and create the trap group. Very similar to target audience. I am provided with an option to select test profiles. I select a few test profiles and hit confirm. Step number three. Once we have defined our target profiles, next is to define the structure of the extraction file. For this, go to the application and see how we can name the file, specify the file format and add necessary output columns. Now I can go ahead and edit content to define the extract file properties. For that, I first define the file name. I ensure that the file format is correct. Going through the extract file format properties, make sure you have the right attributes in there. Next, selecting the attributes that go into your file. These are attributes of your recipe and table. These attributes we will include in the file. You can select attributes one after the other using the add attribute button. Here are the attributes that I would like to see in the file as part of this particular demo. Once I have these attributes selected, I click the save on my delivery. Step four is scheduling. Scheduling is to mention a contact date and this contact date is a mandatory step for direct mail deliveries. Finally, we will preview, prepare the file and then schedule the delivery. Now I can simulate using some test profiles. I have pre-selected a few test profiles and on the right side, I see the file properties or the attributes that I have selected. Navigating or switching between the test profiles, you can see how my data would look like. Once we are satisfied with the preview, we can send a proof or we can come back and set the schedule or the contact date. By default, the enable scheduling is switched off, which means that the messages will be sent immediately. If you want to specify a specific contact date, you can click into enable scheduling and specify the contact date for this demo purposes when we鈥檒l go with the default. Here I will save and hit review and send. I will look at the summary here. I am fine with the summary. Now I will go and prepare my delivery. Here I am computing the target and generating the final message. Now here you see the preview file. Here you see the target, things or profiles that are excluded and the final profiles that needs to be delivered. Let鈥檚 look at the log as to why there are so many exclusions. We go to the exclusion causes tab. Address not specified is so many. Remember, the address specified on the profile is a mandatory condition for a profile to be selected as part of direct mail delivery. If we have profiles that do not have this checkbox check, they will be included. Similarly, the control group. We have selected 10%. So the 10% of it is set aside. We are left with 11K that are our final target. Now I hit the send button. Once I hit the send button, the delivery is sent and we have the preview file ready. Once we have the preview file, we can send this particular extracted file through multiple options. The final step in the process is to finalize the file and send the extract file to the direct mail provider. Once you have prepared the file, confirm that it is finally and ready to be sent. You have several options for sending the file. It can be via an email attachment or through a campaign workflow using the transfer file option. Here is a sample workflow wherein you can use the file transfer activity and SFTP, the final output file to the direct mail provider SFTP server. Thank you for watching.
